Transition Gloucester is an initiative working to make Gloucester a better place to live, facing the twin pressures of Peak Oil and Climate Change.
We are the local branch of the Transition Town movement taking positive steps together to make the transition to a low carbon future.
Saturday 15th June Bike Ride
This year we will use the bike ride to highlight problems and dangers for cyclists in Gloucester.
We will take a camera with us and photograph examples of cycling danger spots, or cycle routes/bike lanes that don’t work, or places where improvements could easily be made.
We will also note examples of good practice.
So if you can think of examples which we could include on our route
then please contact Simon Topping: topstan@phonecoop.coop
12.30pm start with a picnic in Barnwood Park, by the entrance to the Arboretum
and end at about 4.00pm with a cup of tea at Peppers off Southgate Street.
It would be helpful if you could let Simon know if you are planning to join the ride.
“A Vision for Gloucester in 2030”
What’s your vision for a flourishing and sustainable Gloucester in 2030?
What needs to happen so that Gloucester can respond positively
to the challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change?
We held a public forum at Gloucester Resource Centre, City Works in November
to dream our dreams and plan how to turn these dreams into reality.
